| Rock Ski Day at Carson Pass. There was about - 2 ft at the Pass SnoPark and it was 25 degrees at 9am today. We ambled up to Elephant Back in a route made by some people on snow shoes who were digging a pit up on the East Shoulder. There was lots of windblown icy spots and uncovered obstacles but some nice turns in the gullies. Everything we saw on Hwys. 50 and 89 needs much more depth. We had some sunshine but lots of dark clouds were blowing in. |

teaser pic
An entire week at Carson Pass and out of bounds at Kirkwood.
Can you say corn. Great coverage on south facing slopes. Looks like from the Kirkwood webcam that that is long gone now, but sure was fun last week. Would have liked powder for the week but it is hard to complain about sunny skies and winter Tahoe corn.
