Last Sun/Mon toured from Sugar Bowl to Squaw via the main ridge between the two.

This was my second attempt, failing the first time in Feb when my binding busted. The snow in Feb was very sparse and i had to gingerly ski over some pretty thin spots.

Living in the Bay Area, I'd heard Squaw was getting snow now and was checking the avi reports, etc. and decided this route would be ready. I WAS WRONG.
My first hint that there might be a problem wasn't until I was already at the top of Lincoln at SB - Looking south to Anderson Peak, I could clearly see that any snow fallen or any talk of wind slab from the forecasts did not include this brown naked ridge before me.
The ridge was considerably more barren than three weeks earlier. Clearly there would be some long stretches of walking.

After processing this for a few minutes, I decided that I had the time, I had the energy, and I had the interest so decided to begin attempt #2.

Immediately after leaving the boundary on Lincoln, I was hoofing it with my skis on my shoulder. This happened a few times along the first ridge. Within a couple hours I was to the Benson hut.
There was a couple there who had just arrived to the hut who had come up the other way from the Bradley hut, their snow report was just as grim if not more so...

I continued along(I was camping, not staying in the hut) to the west side of Anderson, and on the S-SW aspect began hiking across loose shale and dead foliage. This wasn't as enjoyable as it sounds. Made it around the south side of Anderson and could see Tinker Knob - the top ridge looked bare, but the west-facing cliffs below stood atop a filled-in slope, so I took the low road. Made it across there, then skinned up over the north ridge of Tinker and set up camp on the east side of TK, having sunset views overlooking the next (beautiful but incredibly bare) ridge and Lake Tahoe. Woke up Mon to some steady winds, ~35mph was my guess. Surprisingly not very cold due to the existing inversion. Began hiking on the west side of the ridge and soon was out of the winds. Essentially stayed below the entire next ridge, missing any views but thankful to be on skis. Surprised to see so much snowmobile activity back here, impressed w how quickly that sport has changed but not as stoked knowing that at any time someone could be up in my spot zipping around on one of those. Only saw tracks thankfully.
Made it to Mountain Meadow Lake from the west side as i was following the snow. Came into the Squaw Creek valley, again with tons of hiking down exposed rocks etc over to the south side of the valley.
Thought I saw a chairlift but it wasn't running and didn't appear to have been running this season. stayed high on the slope down to Squaw, having some 11th-hour obstacles that I had to climb/hike around.

Got a ride from a guy Pat("splat") from Reno who sounded like a longtime local. Talked him into taking me all the way back to my car(thanks again pat!).

TL,DR: Ski/Hiked to Tinker Knob, camped, Ski/Hiked some more to Squaw.

Am I glad I did it? YES.
Was it fun? ...YES.
Would I do it again? NOT W/OUT MORE SNOW!

Ha, you got a ride from Splat! That's a great coincidence, he has quite a story. Good guy.
