I'm part of a group of experienced board and ski bc riders that are staying at the Benson hut next weekend. I keep looking for the best lines to get online and do not see any posts for this. Can anyone give me the skinny on the best continuous moderate to steep shots there. We have 3 days to play. What would you do?

i was there 3 weeks ago, did the high route from sugarbowl to squaw, ended up walking a chunk of it due to no snow.

that said, there's been some storms and so you may have good coverage. best of luck!

if there's coverage, there are great lines on the south side of anderson and the northwest side of tinker knob, and then the ridge south of tinker knob is sweet. as i said conditions weren't ideal...i imagine they're good lines w snow!

I've been there a few times, not yet this year... got it booked in 3 weekends from now. Here's a vid from last year https://vimeo.com/20086118... around 40 seconds in, you'll see some of the turns we got just S. of the hut... off the ridge to the E in the Deep Creek Drainage.

It's a burly as you want it... obviously we didn't go for it... but I've visualized that line for a while now. Pic from last year...


If you are looking to make nice turns on a consistent slope, you gotta keep heading S. to the Pole Creek Drainage... which puts you pretty close to Bradley Hut... this one is from 2005.
